Today isn’t about getting older—it’s about celebrating a lifetime of stories, lessons, laughter, accomplishments, and memories.
At Rock Hill, we have the privilege of knowing some pretty incredible people. They’ve raised families, built careers, served their communities, overcome challenges, witnessed history and collected more wisdom than any Google search could ever provide. ❤️
So today, we celebrate THEM.
And we want to hear from you! 👇
👵👴 What is the BEST piece of advice a senior in your life has ever given you?
Share it in the comments and help us celebrate the generations who have so much to teach us. 💚
Our recent trip to the fair was filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of wonderful memories. From taking in everything the fair had to offer to meeting the brand-new baby donkey, there was plenty to see and enjoy. 🫏❤️
Of course, no fair day is complete without fair food for lunch—and some of us even saved room for dessert from the MooWich ice cream stand! 🍦😋
A special shoutout to our Altea provider, Dr. Friedman, who joined us for the day and brought along his adorable son. We’re pretty sure the tractor may have been the highlight of his day! 🚜💙
But one of the very best parts was simply reminiscing with our residents. We loved hearing their favorite memories of fairs gone by and the stories that came along with them—including one about buying a Model T for just $25! Those are the stories you can’t put a price on. ❤️
Days like this don’t happen without a lot of helping hands. We are incredibly thankful for every staff member who helped make this outing possible—from planning and preparing to pushing wheelchairs, carrying supplies, grabbing lunches, and making sure everyone could enjoy the day. You made some wonderful new memories possible. 🥰
The fair may change over the years, but the smiles, the stories, and the memories it brings out never get old. 🎠🎡
At Rock Hill Health & Rehabilitation, being part of our community means supporting the young people who are learning the value of hard work, responsibility, and dedication.
We’re incredibly proud to sponsor FOUR animals at the Northwest Washington Fair, all headed to the Lynden Jr. Livestock Sale this Friday at 1 PM!
These kids have put months of time, early mornings, feedings, training, and plenty of hard work into raising their animals—and Rock Hill is honored to support them as they head into the sale ring. ❤️
Best of luck to Willow, Zander, Cooper, Jacqueline, Jasper, Po-Po, Dilly, and Bumble Berry! Rock Hill is cheering you on! 🎉
🌻 Ginger’s Garden… whether she meant to grow one or not. 🐾🌸
Ginger has been spending quite a bit of time in the courtyard this summer—lounging in the sunshine, supervising everyone who passes by, and of course, digging in the planter boxes like she pays the landscaping bill. 😹
Somehow, despite Ginger’s “help,” the planter she loves to dig in absolutely took off! Towering sunflowers, beautiful pops of orange and yellow, and gorgeous purple blooms have turned her favorite digging spot into quite the little garden. 🌻🌺
We’re not sure whether to thank our gardeners… or Ginger’s unique soil-aeration technique. 😂
Either way, she seems pretty pleased with her work. 🧡
Before streaming, smartphones, and scrolling through social media, how did you spend your free time?
Maybe it was… 🎣 Fishing on a Saturday morning 💃 Dancing on a Friday night 🃏 Playing cards with friends 🧶 Sewing, knitting, or crafting 🚗 Taking a Sunday drive 🌱 Working in the garden 🎳 Bowling with your league 📚 Getting lost in a good book 🏕️ Camping with the family 🎶 Or simply sitting on the porch listening to the radio
At Rock Hill, we know some of the best conversations begin with “Remember when…” ❤️
So let’s take a little trip down memory lane:
What was YOUR favorite pastime growing up—and do you still enjoy it today?
🍊🍦 Orange You Glad It’s National Creamsicle Day?! 🍦🍊
Today we’re celebrating one of summer’s coolest classics — the Creamsicle! That perfect mix of sweet orange and creamy vanilla that somehow tastes like summer on a stick. ☀️🧡
Of course, Ginger came naturally dressed for the occasion. 🐱🍊 No costume, no planning, no effort required. She’s been preparing for National Creamsicle Day her entire life. 😂
Here at Rock Hill, we believe you’re never too old for a frozen treat… especially when it’s this nostalgic!
Now for the important question: 🍊 Creamsicle fan — YES or NO? And if not… what frozen treat are you reaching for instead?
Today marks the first day of the 2026 Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden! Ten days of fair food, farm animals, exhibits, carnival rides, entertainment, and all the wonderful traditions that make fair week feel like summer in Whatcom County. ❤️
The fair runs August 13–22, so there’s plenty of time to grab your walking shoes, loosen your belt for some fair food, and go make a few memories! (Northwest Washington Fair)
And because we know everyone has their own fair tradition, we want to hear yours:
🎡 What’s the ONE thing you have to do, see, or eat at the Northwest Washington Fair every year?
Bonus points if your answer involves something deep-fried. 😂
🧇 WAFFLE ALERT! 🧇
It’s National Waffle Day, which means today we’re tackling one of life’s most important questions:
What belongs on the PERFECT waffle? 🤔
🍓 Fresh strawberries
🫐 Blueberries
🍌 Bananas
🍫 Chocolate chips
🧈 Butter & syrup
🍦 Whipped cream
🥜 Peanut butter
🍗 Chicken — because sweet & savory deserves a seat at the table!
And then there’s Ginger’s answer…
🐱 “Whatever you’re having. Hand it over.” 😹
Tell us below: What’s your ultimate waffle topping? 👇
And if you say “plain,” we may have some follow-up questions. 😂

😂 It’s National Tell a Joke Day! 😂
Naturally, Ginger insisted on going first…
🐱 Ginger: “Why don’t cats play poker in the jungle?”
👉 Too many cheetahs! 😹
We’ll admit it… her comedy career may need some work.
Now it’s YOUR turn! We could all use a good laugh, so drop your best family-friendly joke in the comments! 👇
Bonus points if it’s so bad it makes us groan. 🤦♀️😂
